The Legion of Mary is a large international apostolic organization of lay people in the Roman Catholic Church. It helps the members become better Catholics through a program of prayer and service, in union with the Holy Spirit as he operates through Mary, Mother of the Church. Members meet once a week to pray and plan parish visitations and projects in local nursing homes, hospitals and private homes. All Catholics, young – or not so young – men and women who would like to draw closer to Jesus and His Mother while serving others are welcome to give it a try by becoming a guest at a meeting and see the Legion from the inside. What you will need is a willingness to sacrifice a little of your time. Meetings are held on Thursdays from 10:30am – 11:30am at 15 Church St.
