Pre COVID – St. John the Baptist Catholic Parish hosts a Community Dinner at 4:30-6:00pm on the 4th Saturday of each month, except July and August.
Through the generosity of St. James Anglican Church (12 Harvey St.) our dinner is held in their parish hall under the church. Their own Community Dinner is held on the 2nd Saturday monthly.
At these “Every One Is Welcome” good-will dinners we feed on average of about 100 people. Usually these delicious meals include meat, vegetables, salad, rolls and a scrumptious dessert, with much socializing with family and old and new friends.
Many of our parishioners assist in preparing the food and dining room, serving, donating desserts and cleaning up after everyone is well fed and happy!
